Forza Community Hubs Update #1 – Your Feedback In Action

21 April 2023- Turn 10 Studios
The Forza Community has been busy with new topics and voting on our Suggestions Hub and Troubleshooting Hub. Here’s the first update on how we’re taking your feedback to make Forza better!

Hello everyone! Welcome to the first Feedback Update for the Forza Community Hubs, a new blog series to update our community on the latest ongoings at the Suggestions Hub and Troubleshooting Hub. That includes celebrating new game features and car releases, sharing insights on popular topics, and the latest progress on prominently reported game issues.

We’re looking to publish these blogs every few months. Be sure to keep an eye on the Community Hubs where we’ll be posting updates to identify fixed issues and give updates on feature suggestions that we’ve confirmed are coming to the game on a weekly and monthly basis.

Since the launch of the Suggestions Hub last October, which was followed by the Troubleshooting Hub in February, you’ve cast over 177,000 votes across more than 7,000 topics! Your contributions have given us plenty of insightful feedback and bug reports to dig into, while helping us to understand your top priorities for the future of our games. Thank you and keep it up – you're making Forza better for everyone!

Car Voting

Let’s break down a few areas, starting with cars, which is (naturally!) the most active part of the Suggestions Hub. We’ve recently introduced some of your most highly voted cars into Forza Horizon 5 with more to come in upcoming updates. Here’s a look at some of the most notable vehicles we’ve added based on your requests, all of which are #NewToForza and recent model years:

A note about this – Once we release a requested car in Forza Horizon 5, we’ll still keep that topic open, so that future Forza Motorsport players can also vote for it and let us know they’re interested.

Unsurprisingly the Nissan Tsuru is the #1 voted car on the Suggestions Hub with over 3,600 upvotes! Community input is just one of the elements we consider when adding new cars to Forza – sometimes we’ll bring surprise new additions like the 2022 Cupra UrbanRebel Concept, introduce new manufacturers like Jimco and Casey Currie Motorsports which debuted in Forza Horizon 5 Rally Adventure, and more.

Forza Horizon 5

Car Features including updates to car customization are the most popular category for voting in Forza Horizon, and lately we’ve updated the game with anti-lag turbochargers – a top requested item. In the gameplay category, Launch Control was the #2 requested item and released in that same update. In our current update, Midnights at Horizon, we’re featuring extended night-time which was the #1 voted item under Environment features. We encourage follow up topics on the Suggestions Hub related to Series features and would like to hear about your experience with the Midnights at Horizon content by participating in these polls on the Forza Forums.

Later on this year, “Explore the Horizon” will introduce new Photo Mode improvements to Forza Horizon 5 – a top 10 community request for new and improved Creative features. Stay tuned for additional details closer to release!

Looking at Hardware features, NVIDIA DLSS on PC was the #2 voted item in this category with DLSS 2 Super Resolution introduced last year in the Donut Media update followed by DLSS 3 Frame Generation and NVIDIA Reflex in Midnights at Horizon. We’re also invested in continuing to improve our Accessibility features and supporting the players who use them, so whether it’s about our implementation of Sign Language in cinematics or color-blind features, we want to hear from you.

New fan-requested features and improvements continue to be introduced in Forza Horizon 5, with some recent examples including audio pace notes in the Horizon Rally mode, new customization options like Steering Wheel Rotation on console, new rally parts and adjustable Tire Profile Size, new body kits and JDM rims, punk rock music from Epitaph Records and new EventLab building props themed around rally, neon lights and car parks.

Forza Motorsport

While we're focused on polishing and preparing Forza Motorsport for release later this year, we’re still keen to hear your feature and track requests, we can keep in mind what you want to see most for the future.

Track Voting is a Motorsport-specific category, and we’re seeing strong passion from racing fans globally for Interlagos, which is the #1 voted track, followed by Fujimi Kaido in the runner-up position. While we’ll be revealing the full list of our 20 locations featured in Forza Motorsport closer to release, we want to hear from you which other tracks you’d like to see later on.

Troubleshooting Hub

Since its debut in February, the Troubleshooting Hub has given the community a place to report bugs, find workarounds and track the latest on where we are with fixes. If you’re playing Forza Horizon 5 and find something in the game that seems not quite right, check out the FH5 Report New Issues topics, and include reproduction steps and platform details in your thread to help us diagnose the issue. You can also spread awareness of ongoing issues by upvoting them and encouraging others that might be having the same problem to let us know as well – which helps us understand how many people each issue is affecting.

We’re tracking several issues reported in the Troubleshooting Hub – here's a list of the top voted items as of recent:

We’re constantly developing and testing new fixes for Forza Horizon 5, as introduced in our monthly series updates and hotfixes. Our goal here is to prioritize the most pressing issues for the community, however due to ticket volume, the complexity of the issue, development priorities and resources, the time it takes to identify, diagnose, and address issues is different for each case. That means some newly identified issues may be fixed before previously identified issues. The number of votes on each item in the Troubleshooting Hub allows us to make more informed decisions on which issues we prioritize to develop fixes for, and that’s why it’s essential to include as much information as possible in your reports, including reproduction steps, as one small detail could make all the difference!

An important note – we've seen that some folks have asked for changes to car performance, or reported bugs that would impact a car’s performance – there are a lot of risks to doing this and so for that reason, we won’t be considering any changes to car performance or car parts unless the issue causes severe gameplay disruption, game crashes, or something else game-breaking.

You can find the list of issues we Will Not Fix, the latest update’s Release Notes and the Fixed Issues list in the FH5 Closed Issues section.

Thanks for reading this first Feedback Update for the Forza Community Hubs! Our last note for this edition is the launch of our new section to submit ideas for Forza brand partnerships and merchandise – if you have some collabs you’d like to see us do, or some sweet Forza gear you’ve always dreamed about, check it out and let us know! Until the next one, we’ll be tracking all your Suggestions Hub ideas and Troubleshooting Hub reports, so keep them coming and don’t forget to upvote any shared issues or favorite additions.
