To celebrate our presence here at gamescom in Cologne, Germany, today we revealed that the local and world-famous Nürburgring GP circuit will be available in Forza Motorsport at launch on October 10. What’s more, as part of our plan to regularly bring new content to the game after release, we are also happy to confirm the iconic 12.9-mile (20.83 km) Nordschleife will be coming in Spring 2024. Both tracks have been completely rebuilt for the Xbox Series X|S and PC. Nürburgring GP is the latest addition to the 20 tracks featured in Forza Motorsport on day one – with more announcements remaining, check out the list of tracks we’ve announced to date. In addition to our track lineup, Forza Motorsport starts with over 500 cars, and this list will continue to expand beyond launch. Check out the cars we have announced so far and stay tuned for future car reveals as we get closer to release day.
Forza players attending gamescom are invited to the Forza Motorsport theatre experience from Thursday, August 24 through Sunday, August 27. Here you will be treated to the amazing racing action that awaits in the Builders Cup, the new single-player career mode in Forza Motorsport. We’ll be showcasing brand-new gameplay featuring a group of super-fast German sedans competing at another returning to Motorsport track we’re announcing, the high-speed Mugello Circuit.
In honor of Porsche’s 75th anniversary and their partnership with Xbox and the Forza franchise, fans are also invited to visit the Xbox booth to see a custom-wrapped 2020 Porsche Taycan Turbo S with 6 custom Xbox Series X consoles featuring iconic designs from Porsche race cars. Forza Horizon 5 players can download the car featuring that same livery today from the Message Center and it will be available to drive in its stock colors in Forza Motorsport at the game’s release.
Experience Forza Motorsport on PC
Starting today PC players can pre-order Forza Motorsport on Steam and play up to 5 days early from October 5th by pre-purchasing the Premium Edition. With cross-play for online matchmaking and cross-saves, you can play with your friends across PC and console and for the first time, continue your racing journey across Xbox Series X|S and Steam with shared progression and achievement unlocks.
If you’re wondering how your PC will run the game, we’ve created this spec sheet which outlines the minimum, recommended, and ideal PC setups to enjoy the game. We’ve optimized it to look and play great across a wide range of PCs, taking advantage of cutting-edge PC hardware and technologies with real-time ray tracing on-track and maximum performance enabled by NVIDIA DLSS 2 and AMD FSR 2.2. These upscaling techniques reduce load on your PC, rendering the game at a lower resolution while keeping image quality intact.
Forza Motorsport on PC supports native resolutions up to 4K and beyond, rendering ultrawide and non-standard resolutions for on-track gameplay.
We’ve also introduced shader pre-compilation and pre-caching in Forza Motorsport. This feature already exists in Forza Horizon 5 – it's the “Optimizing for Your PC” screen that shows up when you first launch or update the game – and it’s designed to prevent shader compilation stutter during gameplay. Forza Motorsport also supports DirectStorage for CPU improvements when loading files to memory. This results in faster track loading.
In addition, unlocked framerates with or without V-Sync enabled are supported for single-player racing in Forza Motorsport. In multiplayer, framerates are locked to 60FPS to ensure a consistent and competitive online racing experience for all players across a variety of PC hardware configurations and the Xbox Series X|S consoles. Please note that the first time you launch Forza Motorsport on PC, by default the home space and menu navigation will be locked to 30FPS, however this can be unlocked in the video options menu.
What’s more, we expect to continue optimizing and improving Forza Motorsport on PC after launch. Be sure to share your wishlist of PC-specific features with us at the Forza Suggestions Hub by upvoting features you’d like to see, or starting new threads for items that haven’t been suggested yet.
Plug in and Play with Your Favorite Devices
Forza Motorsport natively supports popular racing wheels from Logitech, Thrustmaster and Fanatec. We also support the DirectInput API on PC, enabling players to plug in and play with a much wider range of hardware than before. This level of device extensibility means Forza Motorsport is accessible to more players who use custom hardware setups.

Remapping your controller, mouse and keyboard, as well as other devices connected to your PC is also supported. With the DirectInput API, you can plug in and remap your favorite high-end steering wheel, non-standard controller (like a USB NES gamepad) and even a flight stick.
Forza Motorsport features rumble vibration support for Xbox controllers and improved force-feedback for wheel users, taking advantage of advanced wheel features to display RPM, shift lights and race data on custom screens.
